All these years that I have lived, where do I stand in front my Rabb. All these years- that I had wasted, what good I had done in the past. Many people- the elderly, the youth and the children, passed away. SomeContinue reading “An Year, passing me”

  • Tug of War: Working Mothers vs Stay at home mom
Guilt never ends. It only ends when you & I do not allow other people’s words and actions to affect us. It is on us, how we allow, perceive and reciprocate to everything that is said to us. An elephant walking on the road, is not bothered by the barking of the dog. Assalamualikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktahu everyone reading this. This article is very close to my heart. Being a mother now, alhamdulillah, and watching other mothers, I truly relate to some of the emotional and physical struggles, a woman is put through. No woman can take the painContinue reading “Tug of War: Working Mothers vs Stay at home mom”
  • Ammi ko samjhne lagi hu mai…
Apne ammi ko samajhne lagi hu mai. Jannat uske kadmo mai kyun rakhi hai Allah ne, ya baat jaan-ne lagi hu mai. Bahuth khafa hoti thi, Jab choti thi. Q ke khana, woh sabke akhir mai khaati thi. Thoda thanda hi sahi, par akele hi khati thi. Islye nhi khaya karti thi ke,  khana unhe mere sath pasand nhi tha. Bas islye nhi khaa paati thi ke, sabko parosna jo tha. Aur agar awwaal bhaith bhi jaaye, toh sukoon se kaha khaya jaaye. Nadaan thi, toh samajh nhi ata tha ke, ammi ki aediya q phati hui hoti thi? ApneContinue reading “Ammi ko samjhne lagi hu mai…”
  • Under the rubble
I complained about my life and then I looked at the people under the rubble I was saddened that I wasn’t able to purchase the dress I loved online. But then I saw the people of rubble, wearing the worn out I was upset, looking at my wardrobe, all the worn clothes inside. And then I saw people of rubble, radiantly smiling and proudly wearing, whatever clothes were left in their closet. I was moody to eat what was served on the table to me. Then I saw the people of rubble, happily eating a dry piece of bread IContinue reading “Under the rubble”
  • KEY TO HAPPINESS
Well, some people think money is the key. But even the richest of richest, sleeps unrest, worrying about “what if I loose everything?”. Some people claim, the key is beauty. But even the most beautiful, ages. Some people think it’s power. But, it descends from one to another. The recipe is simple. It is by being Thankful to ALLAH and his blessings. To be in content with what ALLAH has decreed upon us and to be patient in difficult times with a firm beleive that, Allah’s help is near. How do we know this? ALLAH mentioned in the Qur’an (14:7)-Continue reading “KEY TO HAPPINESS”

  • Deeds
When I read these lines, there is one particular verse, I recall. For a reader who understands it, knows that the verse makes the reader both happy & hopeful but also, anxious & fearful. *Allah says in the Qur’an, Surah An-Nahl, Verse 111* *يَوْمَ تَأْتِي كُلُّ نَفْسٍ تُجَادِلُ عَن نَّفْسِهَا وَتُوَفَّي كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتْ وُهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ*“The day (that) everyone will come disputing in his own behalf; and everyone will be rewarded in full (for) what he has done, and they will not be dealt with unjustly.* One can ask, how can this make a reader both happy andContinue reading “Deeds”
  • Misconceptions about Moharram
There are a number of misconceptions and innovated practices in the month of Muharram. Let’s understand each in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah. 1. Day of Ashoora is about the death of husayn radiallahu Anhu: This is one of the major misconceptions. Indeed the tragic death of husayn radiallahu Anhu shatters many hearts, even till this date but the day of Ashoora was established during the time of prophet peace be upon him, long before husayn radiallahu Anhu was born, and this is something that we learn from the Ahadith-   *Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him),Continue reading “Misconceptions about Moharram”
  • Muharram
Alhamdulillah we have entered the new islamic year. We should be extremely grateful to ALLAH, that he allowed us to live another year. It is indeed, an opportunity and chance to change ourselves for the better and for the sake of ALLAH. Al-Muharram is so called because it is a sacred (muharram) month; this further emphasizes its sanctity. The words of Allah (interpretation of the meaning): “so wrong not yourselves therein” [Surat at-Tawbah 9:36] mean: (do not wrong yourselves) in these sacred months, because doing so is a greater sin than at other times. Ibn ‘Abbas said, concerning the wordsContinue reading “Muharram”
  • Saat al Istijba
Saat al Istijba- Time when duas are granted. A human is always in need of his creator. We might think, after being granted, something desperately needed, “that’s all we want”. But, our desires have no end. One wish/need leads to another. And every phase of life brings us different wants/need. And not just about this worldly life, we seek hereafter as well. And who is better than ALLAH to grant us our needs, desires and wishes.. Subhanallah!! Did you know, ALLAH loves when his servant asks him of his needs. If you seek help or anything from a human, evenContinue reading “Saat al Istijba”
  • A simple way to gain Allah’s blessings and help, in everything we do.
Why is it prescribed to say Tasmiyah“بسم الله الرحمن الحريم” before anything that we do? The translation is- “In the name of ALLAH, the most gracious and the most merciful. When one begins their task with this beautiful statement, we seek Allah’s blessings in it. And not just his blessings, but also help in order to complete the task successfully. Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The phrase Bismillah is a prepositional phrase (jarr wa majroor) that is connected to an implied action that is appropriate to the context. So when you want to readContinue reading “A simple way to gain Allah’s blessings and help, in everything we do.”
  • The right way of Hijab
Hijab is a fardh (obligatory) act of ibadah, that is done to obey and please ALLAH. It is not just a modest piece of clothing or modest dressing. Therefore, doing the act in the right manner is the key. May ALLAH guide us and allow us to follow pardah (covering) in the manner which is right and most pleasing to him and may he forgive our shortcomings and accept it from us Aameen Note- This was a question asked to Shaykh al-Albani (may Allah have mercy on him). And the guidelines of the post are his response. Extended, Explanation withContinue reading “The right way of Hijab”
  • Welcoming Ramadan
🌟 Ramadan is just around the corner. If you haven’t started to prepare for it. We still have time to welcome this blessed month in shaa ALLAH. 1. In every dua you make, especially in the salah, ask Allah- Allhumma Balighna Ramadan (Oh ALLAH help us reach Ramadan). Aameen.. In addition to this, make dua that ALLAH helps us reach Ramadan with emaan, health and aafiyah. 2. Everyday is a different day and sometimes it can be the same. Have your day planned. Divide and balance your time for both your deen and duniya. Make sure you give a dedicatedContinue reading “Welcoming Ramadan”
  • Realising the reality of life
➿ We have been the victims of “Capturing everything and putting it online”. I’ll admit, I was there too. It starts with just a click, to a habit and then to an addiction. To an extent that if you don’t click a good picture of what you wear or what you eat etc you become restless. ☁️ Think about it. Is privacy not power? It is we who give away this power to people around us. And yes, an evil eye is always around the corner. It’s not just about privacy being power, it’s also about how peaceful your lifeContinue reading “Realising the reality of life”
  • LET’S TALK ABOUT IT
Assalamualikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktahu. It’s high time We should discuss death.Do we fear passing away? Many of us, I’m sure, respond “yes” right away. What if ALLAH had told us that whether or not we had good souls when we died, we would still go to Jannah? This prohibits testing barzaq, questioning the grave, tightening the grave, etc. Will we now be afraid of dying? The answer will be NO right away. What can we infer from this?We come to the conclusion that we have no fear of dying. We worry about what will happen in the hereafter. We worry about howContinue reading “LET’S TALK ABOUT IT”
  • How to benefit a deceased loved one?
Assalamualikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktahu. The word “DEATH” is not just a word. It’s a sentence. Indeed, a life changing one. It’s not the end of one’s life, it’s a beginning to a permanent journey. When we live in this duniya, our guardians take care of us, comfort us, do their best to provide us with both need and luxuries..but in the hereafter life, it is our deeds, that acts, as a subscription to our provision (reward or punishment). Indeed, What we sow, is what we reap!! There are few famous quotes, that have stuck with me, since the dayContinue reading “How to benefit a deceased loved one?”
  • What not to say!!!!
Assalamuwalaikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktahu sisters and brothers..i hope ur all doing well by the mercy of Allah and in the best state of imaan and health. I learnt from my mother, she said- Understand that, may b what ur trying to convey is a good thing but how ur trying to convey it matters the most. I think there are so many times in our lives where PeoLe tell us or we tell People, unintentionally, some of the worst advise. One may not realise an after effect that comes along with it. May allah help us all and forgiveContinue reading “What not to say!!!!”
  • LOST & FOUND: Little things, in which you call out and find ALLAH
Assalamualikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktahu. Hope you are doing well by the guidance and mercy of ALLAH. Today I would like to share an incident of my life, that was a beautiful experience to feel the closeness to ALLAH. To learn the beauty of being a Muslim. Alhamdulilah. I would like to start with the verse that striked me after I was relieved from the testing situation- Adh-Dhariyat 51:50 فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ So flee to Allah . Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. Alhamdulilah, when ALLAH helps you understand his deen,Continue reading “LOST & FOUND: Little things, in which you call out and find ALLAH”
  • Morning and Evening Adhkar and few other short duas:
Importance of Adhkar after fajar and asar: The du‘aa’s and adhkaar mentioned will protect the Muslim from harms and evils of all kinds, by Allah’s leave, but that is not necessarily so. If a person is affected by harm despite regularly reciting these adhkaar, then that is by the decree of Allah, may He be exalted, and there is great wisdom in what He commands and decrees. Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):“For each (person), there are angels in succession, before and behind him. They guard him by the Command of Allah” [Sura ar-Ra‘d 13:11]. ‘IkrimahContinue reading “Morning and Evening Adhkar and few other short duas:”
  • TRIP TO THE MALL
Assalamualikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktahu.. Hope you are all doing well by the mercy and grace of ALLAH. One of the beauties of being a Muslim, that I recently discovered is, When ALLAH guides us, instills love for him and fear of him, we remember him, his greatness, his bounty now and then (not just limited to prayer time) One such remembrance and realisation hit me today, as I went with my family to a Mall near by…Now when I futher explain what I felt, It is not with an intention to look down upon others who have a certainContinue reading “TRIP TO THE MALL”
  • Importance of islamic education
Assalamuwalaikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktahu..I hope ur doing well in the best state of imaan and health..In the hustle and bustle of life, somewhere, I believe we lost our true purpose. Unfortunately we are so busy for gaining high scores degree jobs etc, we rarely pay attention to our DQ (DEEN QUOTIENT)..I won’t say it’s harmful to pursue ur goals and career. Infact, it is indeed a rewarding act alhamdulilah..But forgetting Aqira, not learning & practicing deen is extremely damaging.. Sadly, we as muslims have become the kind of thinkers that gaining knowledge of Deen is only the duty ofContinue reading “Importance of islamic education”
  • An open letter to parents and to be parents…
Assalamualikum. Let’s start by making this dua that May Allah make us righteous practicing muslims and our generations to come. Aameen Being a parent is a huge blessing. Alhamdulilah. But it ALWAYS comes with responsibilities. Many of you may assume that this open letter is by a parent. No. I’m not yet a parent. But growing up in this filthy world I do realise that what’s ahead of me and many of us, is worst yet to come. I want all the parents or future parents to know that- our parents protected us from this filthy world to a pointContinue reading “An open letter to parents and to be parents…”
  • Grieving Hearts
Assalamualikum. For any human it’s easy or say not very difficult to share about their financial problems, health problems. But when it comes to the pain of heart, we hesitate like no other. It’s not easy for us to share this pain that is unseen. Most of the times, When we do share, we are told that we are complaining too much. Remember to be very careful with words. Someone’s problem be it minor or major may not seem a problem to you at all. But if someone has come to you entrusted, even if you think it’s not aContinue reading “Grieving Hearts”
  • Duaa: Never underestimate it
Assalamualikum. As a Muslim, we pray, we do our best interms of dhikar, reading and understanding Qur’an, giving sadqa, doing your best in performing rights and responsibilities. Little do we realise that Duaa is also a form of worship. Also little is our practice to ask ALLAH (i.e. make dua) I won’t lie saying- I always made dua and I have been consistent. Just like any other person, I used to make dua at the time of need. But when I realised the power of dua and beauty of asking ALLAH alone, I decided to ask ALLAH alone and alwaysContinue reading “Duaa: Never underestimate it”
  • Relying upon the most perfect
Assalamualikum. We will start by imagining a situation. Imagine that you need assistance in some aspect. It can be interms of medical assistance or financial or any other assistance which you need help for. You have been given a choice. To choose the best in the profession or some random person from the same field. Who would you choose? I believe you will definitely choose the best one. If you need a medical help, you will choose the best doctor in the field. If you need a wedding planner, you would choose the best one. If you need a facultyContinue reading “Relying upon the most perfect”

  • Journey to find love of ALLAH
Assalamualikum. As young girl and every other kid had been told by our elders that- Hey if you don’t do this or do something in particular, ALLAH will be upset with you. It is true that we have to both love and fear ALLAH. But interms of loving Allah and understanding his love for us is somewhere we failed ourselves. A general human tendency is that when we know someone or try to know someone we tend to love them even more. For example- As a child, a baby, you don’t know your parents. You are with them. But asContinue reading “Journey to find love of ALLAH”
