TRIP TO THE MALL

Assalamualikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktahu.. Hope you are all doing well by the mercy and grace of ALLAH.

One of the beauties of being a Muslim, that I recently discovered is, When ALLAH guides us, instills love for him and fear of him, we remember him, his greatness, his bounty now and then (not just limited to prayer time)

One such remembrance and realisation hit me today, as I went with my family to a Mall near by…Now when I futher explain what I felt, It is not with an intention to look down upon others who have a certain interest. So please be mindful..

So this happened that, I was walking past different stores. The branded ones, ofcourse. And looking at all the luxury they offer, it dint instill any interest or want for them in me.. Subhanallah. To me, ALLAH made me perceive them like, just a bag or a jwellery or a dress.

No offense, but we do see people who live for such high end brands. I don’t say that if you have the money or it’s your liking to save and buy, is wrong. It’s definitely one’s money and decision to try n buy. But to some People, that I have come across, they get so much into brands that, they aren’t grateful for what they have.. Subhanallah..They envy others lifestyle and forget the blessings they have.

Such dreams and desires, may never take a place in our hearts, that kills our connection with Allah, that destroys our aim and efforts towards a successful Aqira, that makes us ungrateful to the blessings we have and forgetful of Allah’s favours on us Aameen.

Another thought that crossed my head was that, so much the world has to offer and then one day we will leave everything behind. On the day of judgement, even this place (mall) where I’m standing today, will be turned into dust, a plain ground where everyone will stand before ALLAH for their account.

In such little moments when ALLAH helps us to remember him, it’s indeed a blessing. In such little moments when ALLAH helps us to remember that, one day all of us will perish and be held accountable, then, it’s indeed a blessing. In such little moments when ALLAH protects your heart from falling in love with this world and distraction, it is Indeed a blessing. ALHAMDULILAHI RABBIL ALAMEEN

And in midst all the luxury, I saw the biggest luxury ALLAH has chosen me for. And that is, His Guidance. I turned around and looked at my family, Another huge blessing. Alhamdulilah.

In the end, we all had an ice-cream alhamdulilah and came back home. All we need to do is think on this that, We can be putting so much time and effort for acquiring a particular degree, job, status, or anything related to worldly benefit, which isn’t bad. But in this run, we need to question ourselves that, Are we giving the same effort in achieving the benefit of the hereafter (i.e. To make ALLAH happy, earn his forgiveness and Jannah) which is eternal, unlike the benefit of the world.

May Allah protect us and save us from being disobedient, to forget him, and to go astray and guide us to lead a life that makes him happy and attain his forgiveness and jannah aameen.. Jazakallah khair, fiamaanillah 💗
